The car park has been upgraded to increase parking capacity at the station. This included more Pay 'n' Display bays, more free parking bays, and a new drop-off area. Some other parts of the car park have been redesigned to create a smoother flowing car park. In June 2011, the station was upgraded to include a lift (previously only a ramp existed) and a larger undercover area.
